National Sports Day

The day featured various sports activities including "Pass the Ball," obstacle course, skipping, basketball, kho-kho, and badminton. All activities were successfully conducted under the skilled supervision of sports teachers. Raksha Bandhan

" _Siblings are one soul split into two. Best friends by virtue of birth." On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, our school organized a series of creative competitions across different grades, starting with the youngest toddlers of Kindergarten to Grade II, who eagerly participated in the Rakhi Making competition, crafting vibrant and unique rakhis. Students from grades III to V expressed their creativity and emotions through a Card Making competition, while the Mehendi Competition for Grades VI to XII saw participants displaying intricate and culturally rich designs. These events not only nurtured the students' artistic talents but also deepened their appreciation for the significance of Raksha Bandhan, making the celebration a memorable and enriching experience for all.

Independence Day

Sagar Vidya Niketan School commemorated Independence Day with resounding fervor and grandeur. The 78th Independence Day of prosperous India was joyously celebrated in the school campus today. The Chief Guest for the ocassion was Mrs. Seema Suleman, President of IAS Officer's Wife's Welfare Association, Bhopal. The national flag was hoisted and as the flag soared high, the national anthem's rendition filled each chest with pride and head with gratitude. The celebrations began with Valmiki House delivering an exhilarating dance performance to the tunes of "वन्दे मातरम". Vashishth house presented the patriotic Sanskrit song "जय तु जननी" which filled with air with national fervor. Ruchika Maran, a Class 12th student, captivated everyone with her recitation of a poem penned down by Shri Shyam Sundar Rawat, dedicated to the sacrifice of all the freedom fighters. Neeraj Maran, Class XI, presented his incisive thoughts on the responsibilities of today's youth. His discourse highlighted the critical roles and obligation that young people must embrace in the modern era. Chief Guest, Mrs. Seema Suleman provided special guidance to the students with her insightful words. The celebration of independence should never end, but grow with fulfillment of all our responsibilities by each and every Indian. Jai Hind!

PSSCIVE WORKSHOP

Students at SVN got an exceptional opportunity to participate in the Bootcamp organized by PSSCIVE, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal, securing 4th place among 17 participating schools. Our students got an opportunity to attend a three-day workshop from 12.08.24 to 14.08.24, gaining hands-on experience in Drone Simulation, Mahua farming, Sustainable Agriculture, and Block Printing. The exposure provided them with avenues of self employment and sustainable growth & development.

Students Visit to SMH

"An inspiring encounter with knowledge is often the spark that ignites a lifetime of curiosity and growth." On 13.08.24, our students had an enriching experience visiting Sagar Multi-Speciality Hospital, Bhopal, a leading healthcare institution known for its advanced facilities and specialized care. They had the chance to meet Dr. Anubhuti Jain, a distinguished gynecologist, who inspired them to think critically, explore diverse perspectives, and confidently express their ideas. Dr. Jain provided an insightful tour of the hospital, explaining its operations from the casualty ward to the ICU and operation theatre. She also engaged the students in discussions about their career interests, further motivating them in their academic journeys. This visit was particularly impactful for our biology students, offering them an inspiring glimpse into the medical field. We are deeply appreciative of this valuable opportunity, which has greatly contributed to their learning and growth.

Orientation 2024

“Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.” On 10.08.24 , Saturday Sagar Vidya Niketan successfully hosted a Parents Orientation for board classes (5th, 8th, 10th and 12th grades) along with a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for all other classes. Each house delivered unique performances that highlighted the key theme of Vikasit Bharat. The performances depicted India's journey from independence to becoming a global leader, aligning with the mission of building a self-reliant and prosperous nation. The event concluded with Valmiki House winning first place for their innovative fusion dance. Patriotic Song Competition

"When music and patriotism blend, the result is a powerful chorus of unity and pride." Sagar Vidya Niketan hosted an exhilarating Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition on 07.08.24 aimed at fostering national pride and unity among students. The event commenced with a stirring rendition of the national anthem. Each house— Sandipani, Vashishtha, Brihaspati and Valmiki —delivered captivating performances of iconic patriotic songs like हमारी पहचान हमारी संस्कृति है, और हमारी संस्कृति की रक्षा करना हमारा कर्तव्य है, जयतु जननी जन्मभूमिः पुण्यभुवनं भारतं जयतु, भारत की महानता, हमारे गर्व की निशानी, जय जय प्यारा भारत देश radiating unique energy and creativity. Vashishtha House emerged victorious, followed by Brihaspati, Valmiki and Sandipani house. The competition was a symphony of voices, each echoing the timeless love for our country, stirring our hearts and uniting our voices in celebration. Through their performances, the students not only showcased their talents but also their unwavering dedication to the nation. It reminds us that we are bound by more than borders; we are united by shared dreams and aspirations." Bagless Days

"Bagless Days turn routine into a celebration of creativity, a play, where learning meets laughter, where curiosity leads the way and children’s imaginations take flight." On 24.07.24 and 31.07.24 kindergarten of Sagar Vidya Niketan had a "Bagless Day" filled with engaging activities. In alignment with the New Education Policy & initiative of the MP Board of Education, Bagless Day was held. This initiative aims to foster inclusivity and holistic development in early child education. The day started with a yoga class tailored to the children's age group to promote flexibility and mindfulness, followed by a lively music session. The children then participated in art and craft activities, fostering creativity and fine motor skills. A skit performed by the teachers provided entertainment and valuable lessons in teamwork. The day concluded with a rainy day celebration, including dance, paper boat making, and rain-themed stories and songs, enhancing their understanding of weather patterns while having fun. The event was a great success, offering a delightful and educational break from the regular routine. The children spent the day brimming with immense excitement and joy.

Investiture Ceremony

Sagar Vidya Niketan was abuzz with excitement on 6th of July, 2024 as it hosted the prestigious 9th Investiture Ceremony. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp seeking blessings of the almighty. In her welcome address, Headmistress Ms. Priyanka Upadhyaya, introduced the chief guest, Shri Arvind Kumar Chourgade, Joint Director, Education Department whose remarkable achievements and contributions are inspirational. The Chief Guest’s presence added significant prestige to the occasion and was welcomed with sapling and presented with a memento by Director, Sagar Public Schools, Dr. Jaishree Kanwar as a token of gratitude. The ceremonial function began with the prayer song and a welcome song followed by March Past and the pinning of the badges of the Students Council by the dignitaries. Each inductee was called upon to receive their insignia and sash. This was followed by an oath-taking ceremony administered by Madam Principal, Ms. S.Bindu where the council pledged their commitment to their new roles. School Head Girl Shivani Maran expressed what SVN means to her and the Head Boy proposed the vote of thanks. Recognizing excellence in academics , scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- was presented to students who had achieved above 90% in XII Board Exams. The Chief Guest congratulated the young leaders and awardees, sharing wisdom on leadership, integrity, and the importance of serving with dedication. The speech resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression. The investiture ceremony was a grand success, marked by solemnity, celebration, and a renewed sense of commitment among the inductees. The event not only recognized the achievements of individuals but also inspired all attendees to strive for excellence in their respective fields.

International Yoga Day

Exploring the Transformative Power of Yoga “Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” Our school commemorated International Yoga Day during the assembly on June 21, 2024, with an invigorating yoga session led by our adept Yoga trainer Ms. Reeta Ghatkare. Both students and teachers participated enthusiastically, engaging in various asanas and breathing exercises. The session underscored the paramount importance of yoga in enhancing both physical vitality and mental acuity. The event was an unequivocal success, fostering a sense of communal well-being and solidarity. Vaccination

Under the aegis of the government initiative to protect children against Japanese Encephalitis (JE), the students of SVN aged between 4 to 15 years, were administered Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination with great care by the government medical team. The importance of getting vaccinated was also explained to the children. The pre-primary children were accompanied by their parents.

School Reopening

The corridors and courtyard of SVN came to life with children returning back to school. The school reopened for Class III to XII on 1st April and for KG to Class II from 3rd April. It was day of mixed emotions as the teachers and students were happy and excited upon rejoining but the Kindergarten students wailed upon their first separation from parents. Teachers left no stone unturned in welcoming their students whether it be classroom decoration or fun activities to mark a memorable day for children. The school has come to life again with the reverberating voices of laughter and joy. We pray to the almighty to show us the path ahead in serving children to the best of our abilities.

Orientation

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Today Sagar Vidya Niketan welcomed the new session with an Orientation Program for the parents of new admission in the school premises on 29/03/24 Friday. The session began with benediction of Maa Saraswati. Thereafter Ms. Priyanka Upadhyaya Headmistress K.G I -V acquainted the purpose of the programme followed by introducing the Chairperson behind the noble idea of imparting education to the section of the society. Our Directors and mentors were also introduced to the audience. Further the session continued with the class wise introduction of staff members and Ms. Karishma Dwivedi Sr. Headmistress, discussed the school uniform, books, school functioning and leave procedure. Principal, Ms. S. Bindu, discussed the crucial role of a parent in the child’s life. The session ended with an open house where all queries raised by parents were addressed. Both the parents as well as the students are excited and eagerly awaiting the school reopening.

Appreciation Award at Anveshana 2024 for the Project on AI enabled borewell rescue system

Students of Sagar Vidya Niketan in collaboration with the students of SISTec-E, Ratibad participated and showcased their Project 'AI Based Borewell Rescue Robot' at the Anveshna 2024 organized by Agastya International Foundation from 05-02-24 to 07-02-24 at Delhi and won the appreciation award with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000. The traditional way to rescue the child is difficult, lengthy and also risky. In the proposed method Shockup System is applied in the robot which gives stability to the robot in Borewell. Various educationists, technical experts and students visited stalls and enjoyed witnessing the project. A total of 40 teams participated in the National level event out of 5 teams won appreciation prizes. Sagar Maran and Ankit Prajapati from Class IX represented Sagar Vidya Niketan and are grateful for the opportunity provided.

Visit by Mr. Yashpal Solanki - Arjuna Awardee

“The first thing in judo you learn is not how to throw, it is to learn how to fall and get up again.” It was a moment of great honour and pride when Mr. Yashpal Solanki, Judoka, Arjuna Awardee and National Judo Coach visited our school and motivated the students. In his address, he emphasised upon the importance of physical fitness and urged students to involve themselves in some form of activities, games or sports on a consistent basis. Quoting from his own life and the life of many national players, he exemplified that discipline and determination can help one achieve their desired destination. He concluded by setting a target for students to become capable enough to give back to the society what they have received from them and to serve the motherland in all the ways and means one can.

Fit India

Under the aegis of the Fit India initiative by Sports Authority of India, various activities to inculcate the value of building and maintaining fitness among students were conducted from January 27, 2024 to January 31, 2024. The week began with the pledge taken by all students and staff of taking out time everyday to invest on one’s fitness. The week proceeded with various sports & games like tug- of - war, zumba, badminton, cricket, volleyball, yoga and poster making competition. The activities not just reminded us about a healthy body grooming a healthy mind but also about the life being worth living only when we respect this human body gifted to us by the almighty.

Republic Day

Sagar Vidya Niketan reverberated with patriotism in heart and pride in being an Indian on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day. The festivities began with the unfurling of the national flag followed by the resonance of the national anthem. Students of Class II painted the campus with patriotism with a beautiful patriotic song. Dancing to the song “mere desh ki dharti..” came the students of Class III and IV dressed as farmers and reminded us that mother earth is serving us in all the ways she can, it is our duty to take care of her and take pride in being the children of such a great nation. The day concluded with a thought provoking skit by the students of Class I, giving the message of unity in diversity of our motherland and how we all should build an inclusive and adaptive nation.

Sports Day 2023

The students of Sagar Vidya Niketan presented ‘TATVAMASI’ to mark school’s Sports Meet in the presence of Shri Sanjeev Shami, I.P.S. Additional Director General of Police, Bhopal as its Chief Guest. Shri Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Founder & Chairman, Sagar Group, Principal of Sagar Vidya Niketan, Ms S. Bindu, Abhishek Maran Head Boy and Aastha Sharma Head Girl of the school welcomed the Chief Guest and escorted to lighten the lamp and seek blessings from Goddess ‘Maa Saraswati’ followed by welcome song Swagat Satkar Geetam by students. With the lighting of the torch students of various houses presented an impressive and synchronized march past on the tunes played by the school band followed by oath-taking ceremony of sportsmanship with the release of Balloons by Chief Guest to declare the meet open. A series of track events for boys and girls, drill by toddlers, Obstacle race, Ribbon Drill, 50 m, 100m, & 200m flat race, Relay Race – Girls and Relay Races- Boys added excitement amongst students to score for their houses. A synchronized display of Yoga and Skipping Drill settled the parents on their seats who were trying eagerly to locate their child engrossed everyone present during the sports meet.
