At the Senior Secondary level (Class XI & XII), the curriculum shifts its emphasis from general to core subject-focused specialised content. This is a stage where students identify their subjects of interest for future learning and get a better understanding of their goals.

CO-SCHOLASTIC OR CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The curriculum at SVN focuses on achieving the subject based objectives, it also develops a positive attitude to think and analyse logically, reasoning abilities, problem-solving approaches, and interdisciplinary learning. These stages of curriculum delivery in the Senior Secondary section emphasis on knowledge construction. The Competitions and Activities are meticulously planned keeping in mind the varied interests and mindsets of the students and the list is exhaustive ranging from quiz, debates, essay writing, extempore, educational trips and experiential learning etc.

ASSESSMENT

The Assessment Pattern in the Senior Secondary Section is as per the MPBSE norms. Class XII appears for Board Examination (for class XI the exams are done at the school level under the syllabus and guidance of the Board). The Senior Secondary School Programme at Sagar Vidya Niketan prepares students for examinations in the fields of Science and Commerce as per MP Board curriculum. Parent-teacher meetings and different orientation programs encourage students to work on themselves, improve their academic performance and widen their skills. Effective communication between parents and teachers also helps ensure that both parties are on the same page when it comes to the child's academic goals.
